Masterclass - Understanding the Psychology of Yoga - 7 Oct 2020
Yoga offers one of the most complete understandings of the human psyche ever compiled. Codified by Patanjali 2,500 years ago, and extended and developed in every generation since, the field of Yoga gives you an in-depth map of the psyche all the way from body through to soul.
Andrew Wells has helped pioneer Dru Yoga and Meditation in the war zones of the world, has done in-depth mentorings and chakra analyses with hundreds and hundreds of people, and codified Dru's advanced pratcitioner courses. Specialising in advanced yoga energetics, he's nevertheless greatly loved for his ability to make the vast complexities of psychology into simple principles we can apply through our day.
Tonight we'll be exploring yoga's description of the five main types of behaviour, using precise yoga and meditation techniques to refine our psyche towards contact with our Higher Mind. It's going to be a magnificent evening, inspiring, fun and remarkably comforting. We're hoping that you'll feel even more like you've 'come home', resting inside yourself with comfort and clarity, while holding greater awareness of your fundamental purpose in life and how to express this.

I have benefitted enormously from it.
I did the course during the covid pandemic lockdown. A time of anxiety and fear. The knowledge that I gained helped me to recognise and acknowledge my feelings and gave me tools to deal with them.
The yoga postures , sequences and breathing techniques that are already familiar can be used to change our emotional energy.
In the same way that we have learnt to scan our physical body for aches and pains and stiffness or injury and use yoga postures and stretches to ease ourselves , I have learnt to scan my emotional and energetic body and recognise negative thoughts and patterns and how to correct them. By doing this regularly I feel more self-confident and happy .
I remember a very powerful moment when we were doing the Eagle posture and imagining that we were looking down at ourselves and what we perceived. I thought ‘ I am cool ‘ ! That thought has stayed with me.
Having recently had open heart surgery I was hesitant to as to what yoga I could do. Dru has just proved to me that it is accessible to all. Thank you
