| | | Algarve Dru Yoga holiday | | | 6-13th September 2013
| Join the Dru Yoga team for seven days of relaxing and revitalising Dru
Yoga and Meditation in the stunning surroundings of Monte na Luz, set on
a hillside in ten acres of olive, carob and almond orchards, with views
of the sea and the surrounding countryside. | | | | You’ll enjoy a week of relaxation and flowing Dru Yoga and meditation
classes, as well as plenty of time to enjoy the swimming pool and
gardens. Beginners and advanced Dru yoga and meditation students are
welcome on this yoga holiday.
Venue The
venue for this retreat is Monte na Luz, which is located on a hillside
near the historic town of Loule, near Faro. The magnificent Algarve
coast is just 20 minutes away by car, near enough to explore its white
sandy beaches every afternoon.Monte na Luz has a beautiful
octagonal teaching room, a cozy restaurant, beautiful single, double and
triple rooms, a yoga lawn of 100 square meters and a delicious swimming
pool, spread over an area of 2 hectares. The rooms all have private
bathrooms with shower, toilet and a private entrance. The rooms are
spread over the main building and several houses on the site. The yoga and meditation sessions will be held either on the yoga lawn or in the beautiful teaching room.
What’s included in this holiday? The
seven day holiday includes a two hour yoga and meditation class before a
substantial brunch shared in the outdoor dining area. If you’re rushing
off to the beach, you can make a packed lunch, and then the rest of the
day is yours to relax. At 5pm on 5 days out of 7 there’s a 90 minute
yoga and meditation class, followed by a delicious vegetarian evening
meal. Included in the retreat are around 20 hours of yoga classes as
well as 6 brunches, 1 self-service breakfast (on the last morning), and 5
evening meals. On two days we give you the whole day free after the
morning yoga session to explore the area and arrange your own evening
meal in a typical Portuguese restaurant (or self-cater in your
accommodation). You’ll
need to arrange your own flights and travel insurance, and taxis to and
from the venue from Faro airport (around €30). You’ll probably want to
hire a car when you arrive, although taxis to the beach are quite
reasonable or you can hire bikes instead.

"Having just been to a brilliant Dru retreat in North Wales I am 'chilled', yet fully charged! The style and quality of presentation is excellent, the content fascinating, the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff without question and the organisation has a 'track record' approaching thirty years. I have been to three Dru conference/retreat events now and can highly recommend them." Damian Crowley, Managing Director, Maritime Training & Assessment Services
