Dru Professional - Dru Kids - Yogiyou

Dates: Saturday and Sunday 3rd & 4th October, 2009, 10am - 4pm

Venue: Hilton Hall, West Midlands

Add another string to your bow by training to teach Dru Yoga to children and young people aged 4-11. You’ll gain all the skills necessary to meet the demand for Dru Yoga classes in schools, after school clubs or birthday parties. This course is for Dru Yoga graduates and undergraduates who are members of the Professional Register.

You’ll learn:

You’ll receive a comprehensive manual with lesson plans, games, developmental and health information, legal and safety advice.

  1. How to adapt Dru Yoga postures and sequences for children of all ages
  2. How to make yoga fun and safe
  3. Essential concepts in child psychology and development
  4. How to teach Dru Yoga to both primary and secondary school children
  5. Why each age group needs a totally different approach to yoga and wellbeing
  6. How to manage and structure young people’s classes
  7. Easy ways to introduce Dru Kids to schools, colleges and yoga centres
  8. Marketing strategies to make use of the huge demand for children’s yoga
  9. Games, fun activities and attention-grabbers


You’ll receive a comprehensive manual with lesson plans, games, developmental and health information, legal and safety advice.You'll also receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the weekend.

 Cost: (non-residential, tuition only)

STANDARD RATE (after 3rd August)

Please bring a packed lunch, or you can buy food at the venue if you prefer.

This course is for Dru Yoga graduates. On successful completion of the course, and successful CRB check, you may teach Dru Yoga classes to children as a yogiyou teacher. If you've passed your interim assessment, you're welcome to come on the course, and we'll give you a provisional certificate. Once you've graduated, we'll give you a full certificate.
