Dru Meditation Teacher Training Course
We are one of the first schools in the UK to offer a Meditation Teacher Training Diploma. In fact, our first complement of Dru Meditation teachers are about to graduate!
On this course we emhasise the science of meditation, showing how to bring the awareness from the physical body, through to the deepest layers of our being. We show how to access the individual and universal life-force helping to maintain, generate and store internal energy. We teach you how to use the power of vibration and mantra to achieve a deep understanding of your place in the world and above all, we show you how to pass on this experience to others too! Amongst other things, you will learn:
• Structuring and planning meditation classes
• Dru prana kriyas, pranayama, mudra and visualisation techniques
• Meditations for each kosha
• Meditation in the workplace
• A deep understanding of subtle energy
• Meditative prayer and contemplation techniques
• Chanting/singing and mantra meditation
• Meditation for healing the body and the earth
Course Entry Requirements
In order for us to be able to move the whole group ahead at the same pace, we expect you to have attended two Dru Meditation retreats before the Teacher Training Course, and to be familiar with the basic Dru Yoga and Meditation techniques found on those retreats. These include:
• Knowledge on the chakras and subtle energy systems
• Working knowledge of Energy Block Release sequences 1, 2 & 3 and other Dru Yoga sequences
• Experience of the Prana Kriya techniques
• Good knowledge of the Vertical Alignment, Blue Mist and other techniques taught on the preparatory retreats
• An established daily meditation practice
• We strongly recommend that you work with the Essential Foundations Dru Meditation CD set in order to become familiar with the techniques above.
Course Structure
The Teacher Training course will consist of two, five-day modules per year, for three years. You will develop a regular meditation practice and will be given detailed guidelines for optimising your personal experience of meditation. Home study will consist of refining your practice. You will be invited to explore and discover!
You need to attend two qualifying Dru meditation retreats in order to apply for this course. The purchase of a set of the training CDs from a five day Dru Meditation retreat is also recommended for those wishing to follow the course. Mentoring with our senior meditation teachers may be arranged if you can’t attend the required retreats.
Course Costs - 2008
